After a recommendation from a United Built client, Tamara and Matt came to us with plans to substantially renovate their family home.

The house sits on a sloping block in a high BAL rated fire zone. Working closely with Matt and Tamara we established the scope of works and accompanying project budget. The family vacated the house while we undertook a major renovation.

The project involved, a new staircase to create a new layout for the kitchen, lounge and dinning areas, new kitchen, butlers’ pantry, laundry, flame zone rated deck, fire shutters, carport, bedrooms, painting through out including external painting and roof restoration.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Preparation of the initial project quote and detailed scope of works
  • Ongoing management of the project budget to the client’s expectations
  • Assist in obtaining the Home Builders Grant
  • Preparation of the contracts and HBCF compliance
  • Provide samples and budgeting for client’s approval
  • Manage and co-ordination of all trades and consultants
  • Working through COVID lockdowns – while meeting government guidelines
  • Manage the project timeline, the statutory approvals (OC), including high BAL rated bush fire zoning

Andrew and the United Built team completed our full house renovation, including our kitchen and bathroom, new laundry repositioned the new stairway and constructed our second storey fire rated deck.  United Built were conscious all the way through of our budget and assisted in providing alternative options to maintain the budget.
